The European Platform for Investing in Children (EPIC) has different resources on its platform including:
- A round-up of the latest developments in child and family policy in EU member states. Every month, a news item will be published, collating information about new policies and initiatives in member states. It will include information about a wide spectrum of developments, including legislative changes, new programmes and new evaluation tools. See some of the latest national developments including a new programme in Denmark to support the first 1,000 days of the lives of children from vulnerable families; a campaign in Croatia In cooperation with UNICEF, to increase the number of foster families; and new carer support centres in Latvia, providing extra-familial care centres providing assistance, training and psychological support to foster families, host families and adoptive parents.
- A series of policy memos which provide brief overviews of key topics in child well-being and development for policy-makers, researchers and stakeholders. This includes memos on topics such as funding mechanisms to support the fight against child poverty; education for unaccompanied migrant children in Europe; paternity and parental leave policies across the EU; implementing evidence-based practices effectively.
- A repository of practices and programmes, including a recent addition from Finland: ‘The Family-Friendly Workplace Programme’ which promotes family-friendly practices at the workplace. The programme is implemented through a 4-step process through which the employer receives guidance and support from experts from the Family Federation of Finland (Väestöliitto, member of COFACE Families Europe).
