COFACE Disability letter on draft report on the European Accessibility Act

Members of COFACE and COFACE Disability sent a letter to all members of the European Parliament’s Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee (IMCO) on April 13th, to express our concerns about the draft report on the European Accessibility Act.

The Committee will have the final vote on the report on 25 April, therefore we wanted to raise awareness on the importance of having a strong European Accessibility Act that would support millions of persons with disabilities, older people and their families to have better access certain goods and services across Europe.

Please read our letter here which is setting out recommendations on how to make the IMCO report stronger, especially regarding the built environment, public procurement, the accessibility requirements in Annex I, or the definition of “persons with functional limitations”.
