IntegratEd: Promoting Meaningful Integration of 3rd Country National Children to Education, a European project by KMOP, Greece

KMOP has recently launched a new European project: IntegratEd. The general objective of the action is to Strengthen the successful participation of newly arrived third-country national children in education and to contribute to the combating of discrimination against third-country national children in the educational environment in Greece, Italy & Spain, and the EU in general. This will be realised by:

– Raising participation in education and the rate of attainment among TCN children/youth
– Supporting the academic performance of secondary education TCN pupils
– Enhancing the competences of teachers, school heads and staff
– Facilitating and promoting the involvement of TCN parents in their children’s school life
– Enhancing the knowledge of TCN pupils and their parents on the educations systems
– Enhancing mother tongue & culture knowledge of TCN pupils
– Fostering exchange of experience & promote educational support model(s)
– Raising public awareness on the role of education in promoting inclusive societies,
– Promoting increased attention to diversity and inclusion in policy planning in education.
