Membership of COFACE is open to all national organisations that represent families and children.

Organisations from EU member countries have full membership. Organisations from accession countries and those linked to the European Union by association agreements have observer or associate membership, respectively. COFACE also has a number of corresponding members, mainly research institutes on family issues.
