European Project
The whole project is set within the European Year of Equal Opportunities for All 2007.
It consists of a set of day workshops organised by 8 COFACE member NGOs in 6 EU Member States.
The issues addressed at these day workshops will focus on the three connected aspects of "citizenship" "European dimension" "family dimension" in an approach of equal opportunities for all. Each day workshop will give rise to one or more reports and/or recommendations which will be disseminated by one or more of the methods provided for by the project (Internet, CD-ROM/DVD, print publication).
The project will conclude in May 2008 with a 2-day European wrap-up symposium held in Brussels to discuss the results and recommendations of the 8 workshops with representatives of the EU institutions concerned, amongst others. The idea would be to put forward proposals to the different levels of authority on issues that reflect the main agendas of the front-line organisations that make up the project partnership. This European symposium would give the European institutions an opportunity to brief participants on about the EU's achievements, and the prospects, in the different spheres discussed.
