European Pillar of Social Rights launched!
On April 26, the European Commission proposed a Recommendation on the European Pillar of Social Rights. The proposed Pillar sets out a number of key principles and rights to support fair and well-functioning labour markets and welfare systems. It will serve as a compass for a renewed process of convergence towards better working and living conditions among participating member states.
During the last year, COFACE Families Europe has been actively advocating for the Pillar to be a strong social policy framework that can help prevent poverty while also supporting families in deprived situations to be more included in society. We will now study the full Commission proposal and get back to you with our detailed analysis soon. In the meantime, read here COFACE’s position paper on the European Pillar of Social Rights
We will now study the final proposal and get back to you with our detailed analysis soon. Stay tuned!
