On the 20th of December, COFACE Families Europe, represented by Martin Schmalzried, will be presenting a part of the Council of Europe’s Internet Literacy Handbook (ILH) at the Internet Governance Forum 2017 edition (IGF). The ILH was updated with the help of COFACE Families Europe, which contributed new chapters on issues such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things.
The ILH is aimed at teachers, educators, students and the general public in order to increase their overall digital skills in navigating the Internet, starting from the most elementary topics like how the Internet works, to more detailed discussions about specific topics like cyberbullying, digital citizenship or big data.
The flash session will be an opportunity to discuss the contents of the ILH with the participants, showcase some of the updates, and reflect on ways to improve on the existing work.
The latest version of the ILH is now available online on the Council of Europe’s website here
