UNAPEI publishes position paper on facilitating access to the rights of persons with disabilities and their families

“Obstacle course”, “administrative meanders”, “administrative labyrinth”… there are many expressions to describe the experiences of people with disabilities and their families to enjoy their rights. UNAPEI collects daily the difficulties that these people are facing, such as the complexity of the administrative procedures, the multiplicity of actors, the absence of interlocutors… This is why UNAPEI has produced a document summarising the main findings in this area, illustrated by concrete examples and constructive proposals.

UNAPEI calls for a real coordination between organisations to put an end to the divided French administration. According to UNAPEI, administrative simplification must be considered in the context of digital transformation, a priority for the French government. The benefits of the digitalisation of the procedures will be very appreciated if they are proposed with an adapted support to the needs of each digital service user.
