On the occasion of the first anniversary since the proclamation of the European Pillar of social rights, Social Platform in cooperation with the Portuguese Ministry of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security invite EU, national and local decision makers to Lisbon for the 2-days conference “Building Social Europe”.
The conference is not only a symbol of the anniversary, but shall also ensure that the decision-making process on social issues actually includes and involves civil society organisations. People and their well-being should be at the centre of the debate and civil society is part of that debate and the decision-making process.
The conference has two panels – “Fulfilling the European dream: will the Social Pillar deliver on its promises?” and “Making a compelling case for a social Europe” – and multiple workshops focusing on a new EU Investment plan, the Pillar of Social Rights and the EU semester process.
