Even today, too many families are poorly housed. No one is indifferent to it. The Fonds du Logement de Wallonie (Housing Fund), hand in hand with local and regional actors, can facilitate private restructuring or generate public projects, small or large, classic or innovative in the heart of cities and villages.
Therefore the Housing Fund invited municipalities and CPAS (Public Social Services Centres), to discover its various housing and credit assistance and services, especially for large families. The seminar took place at the Centre de Formation et de Réunion de Bouge in Bouge. Indeed, the Walloon Code on Housing and Sustainable Housing has strengthened the role of municipalities in regional housing policy.
During this seminar, each of the FLW’s action levers were presented through examples of achievements carried out throughout Wallonia, with the support of the public authorities. Innovative partnerships with cities and rural municipalities, tailor-made renovation operations with solidarity donors or housing non-profit organisations were highlighted.
